What Is the Difference Between a Solar PPA and a Solar Lease?

A PPA allows you to purchase the electricity a solar system generates at a predetermined rate, often lower than traditional energy rates. This means you benefit from predictable costs and potential savings. On the other hand, with a solar lease, you pay to ‘rent’ the solar equipment, irrespective of how much energy it produces. Essentially, a PPA offers greater potential for savings and cost predictability.
