The Tesla Powerwall 3 introduces several brand new innovative features. The most notable upgrade is the integrated solar inverter. This allows for direct DC coupling with solar panels, enhancing the system's efficiency.

When you connect solar panels to the Powerwall 3, the battery stores the electricity they generate. It's then converted to AC power when it's required in the home. This direct feed reduces the number of conversions required. Thereby improving the storage efficiency from 90% to an impressive 97.5%. Homeowners can then use more of the energy they generate, increasing energy independence.
